Seasonal Service Opportunities

We’ll be partnering with Canton First Methodist Church on October 19th to Be the Church that Sunday and serve the community. We’ll join in a short worship service and communion at Canton First at 9:30 then go out to serve the community in various projects. We’ll also have a short worship service at 11 am at Mt. Gilead with some service projects to do around Mt. Gilead. If you have something you would like done, we would love to help you. Each Christmas season, Mt. Gilead participates in Operation Christmas Child, a meaningful outreach that brings joy to children in need around the world. Through this ministry, our church family fills shoeboxes with gifts, school supplies, hygiene items, and uplifting messages to share the love of Christ. These simple yet impactful boxes offer hope and encouragement to children who may not otherwise receive a Christmas gift. This annual tradition is a wonderful way to extend our faith beyond our community and make a difference in the lives of others.

Each Easter season, Mt. Gilead collects Easter baskets for children in need, spreading joy and hope to families who may be facing hardships. These baskets are filled with treats, and small toysproviding a special Easter surprise for children who might not otherwise receive one. This outreach is a simple yet meaningful way to share God’s love and brighten a child’s holiday. Through the generosity of our congregation, we can make a difference and bring smiles to young faces in our community.
