Seasonal Service Opportunities

During the entire month of October we will be collecting women’s socks for The Angel House, a teen girls’ foster home. Help us fill the clothes basket! The girls prefer no show socks.

It’s that time of year again! Time to grab a shoe box and fill it with fun items. We have shoeboxes for you with labels and instructions on what to do. The labels have suggestions for packing your shoebox. They are due by November 16, 2025.

Each Easter season, Mt. Gilead collects Easter baskets for children in need, spreading joy and hope to families who may be facing hardships. These baskets are filled with treats, and small toysproviding a special Easter surprise for children who might not otherwise receive one. This outreach is a simple yet meaningful way to share God’s love and brighten a child’s holiday. Through the generosity of our congregation, we can make a difference and bring smiles to young faces in our community.

Thank you to everyone who helped out for this year’s “Be the Church” Sunday. We created over 70 staff appreciation gift bags for the staff at Mountain Road Elementary School and 50 hygiene kits. We also had a group from Canton First Methodist help us drywall some rooms. We can’t wait until “Be the Church” in October 2026!
